The Problem

Following the reopening of event venues and campuses after lockdown, O’Neill & Brennan secured an ongoing framework contract to support major venues across the North-West of England, including Manchester and Liverpool. With COVID-19 restrictions still in place, the contract required experienced personnel capable of managing large numbers of visitors while enforcing face coverings, social distancing and other safety protocols. O’Neill & Brennan needed a reliable, resourceful and experienced security partner to deliver professional event stewarding, security and crowd management services.

The Solution

We deployed a team of experienced security officers and event stewards to support O’Neill & Brennan across major event venues in Manchester, Liverpool and the wider North-West.

With staff regularly interacting with the public, our approach combined traditional security responsibilities with a welcoming, concierge-style service.

Our officers were experienced in crowd management, traffic marshalling and conflict resolution, ensuring COVID-19 safety protocols were maintained throughout challenging and occasionally confrontational situations.

To maintain consistently high standards, we supported the deployment with regular check-in calls and site visits from our Area and Regional Service Managers.

The Outcome

Throughout the 18-month contract, we provided O’Neill & Brennan with a reliable and professional security presence, helping maintain safe, well-managed environments during a particularly challenging period for the events industry. Our team’s experience, adaptability and proactive approach to public safety were key to supporting the successful delivery of the contract.
