Select Group has a long-established working relationship with Dem-Master. We continue to provide them with 24/7 security cover in the form of Temporary CCTV, Fixed Systems and Security Guards. We also deployed 98 of our new Sentinel Security Pods to protect the difficult Torry Site which is scheduled for Demolition due to the ongoing issues with RACC concrete.

The Problem

Dem-Master approached Select Group in November 2025 to support their tender for the demolition of the Torry Site in Aberdeen. They informed us that the Aberdeen Council had been impressed with our collaboration during the demolition of the Gorbals Tower Blocks. Services Provided: 24/7 response, Security Guards, Welfare and 98 Sentinel Pods We successfully tendered and were given a tight timescale of 2 weeks to prepare the site and secure all vacant properties stretching for over 5km.

The Solution

Following a thorough 4-hour site survey and discussion with Dem-Master and Aberdeen City Council, we decided to deploy a comprehensive array of measures to ensure that all their requirements were fully met. Firstly, we installed 98 Sentinel systems to protect the perimeter of the 5km Site and over 19 ex residential plots, coupled with 24/7 Double Security Guard Cover. Due to high risks of fire and vandalism, each Guard was equipped with a state-of-the-art Body Camera that the clients could access while on patrol. We also establish full site Compound and Welfare for both Dem-Master and our Guards, due to the Cabon Reduction plan of the Council we utilised full Solar Powered Welfare Units and Electric Patrol vehicles to also reduce any noise complaints from remaining residents.

The Outcome

As a result of the measures put in place, and the efforts of our team, including local tradesmen and security experts hired, we completed the project in 3 weeks and fully secured the site before Christmas Break. Also, we have had no reported incidents since all measures have been implemented.
