A success story

AIT Worldwide Larne Depot

Select Group has recently established a new working relationship with AIT Worldwide Logistics. We continue to provide them with 24/7 security cover in the form of Temporary CCTV, Fixed Systems and Security Guards. We also deployed our new Sentinel Security Pods to protect the perimeter of the new Distribution Centre during our installation of their full fixed systems.

The Problem

AIT Worldwide Logistics recently opened their first Distribution Centre in Northern Ireland. We had recently won our first job with them during the opening of their first Scottish Distribution centre, and due to the success of the project they requested our assistance. The new Irish Site in Larne, had been delayed due to planning, and AIT requested we turned the project around within 3 months. We mobilised the following day and delivered the project 2 weeks earlier than requested.

The Solution

Following a thorough site survey and discussion with AIT head office in the US, we decided to deploy a comprehensive array of measures to ensure that all their requirements were fully met. Firstly, we installed 4 Sentinel systems to protect the perimeter of the depot, coupled with 24/7 Security Guard Cover. Due to the high value of the stock, each Guard was equipped with a state-of-the-art Body Camera that the clients could access while on patrol. We then proceeded with fully NDAA Approved equipment and in under 2.7 Months installed their full bespoke CCTV, Intruder, Fire and Access Control including access gates. Working 7 days per week to make sure the project was completed as early as possible due to their client, Amazon, requesting distribution to start before the Christmas rush.

The Outcome

As a result of the measures put in place, and the efforts of our team, including local Irish partners, the project was completed 2 weeks under schedule, much to the happiness of both AIT and Amazon.
