As Events venues and campuses re-opened after lockdown, there were Covid-19 protocols to accommodate, including mask-wearing and social distancing. O&B won an ongoing framework contract to manage major events venues in the North West and of the country including Manchester and Liverpool and so required a supplier who were experienced, resourceful and dependable.

We had worked with Select Solutions in the past and understood them to be both professional and resourceful company with a good solid reputation.

As this deployment involves dealing with the general public, guards were briefed to act as a cross between a concierge and a conventional security guard. The deployment package also included monitored by regular check-in calls and site visits from Area & Regional Service Managers. Select Solutions security officers ensured these measures were adhered to throughout what were challenging and sometimes confrontational deployments. It was clear their officers were well versed and experienced in traffic marshal, crowd management, and conflict resolution.

As is always the case in events security, a successful assignment is one that keeps everyone safe and free of incident and for us Select Solutions were a critical factor in us achieving this.
